Alexandre Lafreniere

Alexandre is a founding partner of ALX Legal. He is fluently bilingual and practices in both official languages. His practice focuses on corporate and business law in addition to all areas of law ancillary thereto including commercial real estate and estate planning.

Alexandre acts for companies of all sizes. He has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of commercial affairs including, but not limited to, incorporations, financings, tax reorganizations, acquisitions, sale of companies and succession planning. Alexandre’s endless drive to succeed has allowed him to grow his clientele across eastern Ontario with particular emphasis on companies in the agricultural and construction industry.

Prior to his call to the Bar of Ontario, Alexandre obtained his LL.L. (Civil Law Section) and JD (Common Law Section) at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. During his studies, Alexandre acquired experience working for various law practices in Ottawa-Gatineau. He was also selected to serve as a Summer Intern with Farm Credit Canada, which introduced his interest to agricultural law.

Alexandre’s bijural education has allowed him to develop a broader understanding of the law. He is forward thinking, proactive, and innovative in his problem solving. He is most proud of the personal connection he has developed with his many business clients and the opportunity to help them reach their goals and share in their success.

In his spare time, Alexandre is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. When he is not working, Alexandre enjoys reading and staying informed on the latest trends in wealth management and business development.
