Michel Parisien

As a distinguished lawyer with over four decades of experience, Michel has brought Woods Parisien, as well as his unparalleled knowledge and experience, to ALX Legal where he will continue to practice in real estate (residential, commercial and agricultural), corporate and business law, estate planning and municipal law.

In 1988, Michel embarked on a new chapter in his career, founding with four other associates the esteemed law firm, Woods Parisien, which quickly became a trusted institution known for its commitment to clients and its role in representing notable entities such as the United Counties of Prescott and Russell, the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury, the Township of Champlain and the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet. One of Michel's standout accomplishments is his instrumental role in the creation of more than 35 different condominiums from standard and non-standard types such as Common Elements, Phased and Vacant Land Condominiums.

In his earlier years, Michel was a seasoned litigator, taking on cases in various courts, from the Superior Court of Justice to the Appeal Courts, and even the Supreme Court of Canada. In 1985, he shifted his focus away from litigation, but his history as a formidable advocate endures.

Active in the legal and local communities, Michel served as President and Governor of the prestigious Club Richelieu Hawkesbury, president of the Prescott and Russell Law Association, and is a long time member of the Hawkesbury Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of the office, Michel is a well-rounded individual with diverse interests. He enjoys motorcycle rides, skiing, tennis and card games. He’s also a travel enthusiast, with a special fondness for cruises.
